ALOE VERA – EATING IT?
I love a great way to boost the morning getting energised by healthy fats, antioxidants and lean proteins. I added aloe vera juice to the mix as well, partly because I had some pure drinking aloe vera in the fridge and on top to support my digestion. Eating or drinking aloe aloe vera is a great contributor to the overall health. By healing the microvilli in the intestines – the small "hairs" that function as the gateway to absorb nutrients into the bloodstream – the absorption of nutrients gets improved drastically and therefore is a basis of overall health. Studies have also showed that oral consumption of aloe vera stimulates and optimises re-growth of skin cells by up to 90%. Therefore making it amazing to drink or eat after burns, cuts or other skin conditions! A Japanese healer friend told me "Why put it on the skin when you can eat it"
